November 2025

On Thursday 20th November, the FJ&B team attended the London Build Expo 2025—one of the UK’s leading events for the construction and built environment sectors. Bringing together organisations, innovators, and thought-leaders from across the industry, the expo offered a valuable opportunity for our team to explore emerging trends, exchange ideas, and strengthen connections with peers and partners.

Tackling Carbon Emissions in Construction

A key highlight of the day was the seminar “It’s Not Easy Being Green: Tackling Carbon Emissions in Construction.” The session provided a thoughtful and practical look at the challenges—and increasingly the opportunities—surrounding embodied and whole-life carbon reduction.

For us at FJ&B, the discussion reinforced the vital role that MEP engineering plays in delivering smarter, cleaner, and more energy-efficient buildings. The insights shared will continue to inform how we approach sustainable design, helping us support clients in meeting both regulatory requirements and their wider net-zero ambitions.

Celebrating Diversity in Construction

We were also delighted to attend The Annual Diversity in Construction Networking Event, which proved to be as energising as it was thought-provoking. Speakers and attendees highlighted the importance of building a more inclusive, equitable, and representative workforce—something we strongly believe is essential for the future health and creativity of our industry.

The passion and commitment demonstrated by the organisers and participants left a lasting impression, and aligned closely with our own focus on fostering an environment where talent from all backgrounds can thrive.

Looking Ahead

London Build Expo 2025 provided our team with renewed motivation, strengthened connections, and a host of fresh ideas to bring back into our work. As we continue to champion sustainability, innovation, and inclusion across our projects, events like this play an important role in shaping our perspective and driving progress.

We’re already looking forward to seeing what London Build 2026 has in store.
