WILMINGTON ACADEMY

Wilmington Academy is one of the most popular and oversubscribed schools in Kent. As a result of Kent County Councils decision to increase the planned admission number for the Academy, a new teaching block housing 16 classrooms and other facilities as well as additional space was constructed.
FJ&B were appointed at stage 4 of the design progress - providing the detailed designs and construction design information pack to enable the site works to take place. Engaged to deliver a full mechanical, electrical and public health design package.
The project benefited from having largely uniform classroom layouts and core areas across the floors. Meaning that consistency during construction was key to delivering the build successfully. In particular, the high levels of collaboration were praised by all involved and being a key factor to completing within time and budget constraints
The scheme was completed during quarter 2 of 2020 and has already seen an influx of student numbers
