COZENTON PARK SPORTS CENTRE
Open since summer 2024, Cozenton park sports centre has been a much needed revitalised leisure facility for the Medway area.

FJ&B were appointed to carry out the design for the electrical engineering systems and ensure that the installation works ran smoothly.

Collaborating alongside a separate mechanical design consultant proved to be an enjoyable change of pace for us, working closely together in respective 3D models, running clash detection and resolving potetnail issues ahead of commencing on site.
Being a public building, there was a very high level of public address, voice anouncement and fire alarm systems to ensure that specific areas and zones around the building could be reached.

With the swimming pools and multiple areas of significant wet use, careful consideration had to be made with regards to ingress protection for electrical devices.
​
Designing the correct lighting for the swimming pool area was challenging, with the solution being a mixture of underwater lights, and adjustable angle wall lights, all navigating around the large ventilation and structural systems presented in the space.
